April Business Meeting Minutes 2011
The meeting was brought to order by President Dave-N0TRQ @ 7:04pm.
Our Prayer was led by our Spiritual Advisor-Kenny- KR9C, and our pledge was led by Cecil-W5CQG.
Secretarys Report: Susan-N0TRS read the minutes from the last meeting. A motion to accept the minutes as read was made by Cecil-W5CQG, and seconded by Kenny-KR9C.
Treasurers Report: The Treasurer''s report was read by Cecil-W5CQG. We currently have $1200.16 in the account. A motion was made by Kenny-KR9C to accept the Treasurer''s Report as read. It was seconded by Jimmy-KE5RRA.
Old Business:
National Weather Service: Dave-N0TRQ, Kenny-KR9C, Cecil-W5CQG & Jimmy-KE5RRA took a tour at the National Weather Service in Shreveport. The tour was very educational.
New Business:
VHF South Barbeque: Marshall-K5QE extended an invitation to the VHF Barbeque to be held On May 28, 2011. It will be held 8.2 miles N. of Milam at Bill Simpson’s house.
Technicians Class: The Technician class scheduled for May 7th was cancelled. Testing for all license classes will be on June 4th, 25th, and possibly June 18th if needed.
Ham Fest: Final discussion on all Ham Fest arrangements will be at the May meeting.
Field Day: Field Day will be held at Rebel State Park on June 25 & 26th. We are hoping to have our ARCS Summer Picnic on Saturday as well. There will be BBQ’s set up, refrigerator available, crock pots and electrical outlets for set up. We are asking that everyone bring a dish to pass and the meat of their choice for grilling. A signup sheet for the dish to pass will be available at the May meeting so we have a variety of food choices to share.
A motion to close the meeting was made by Cecil-W5CQG, and seconded by Kenny-KR9C
