New Business:

Kenny-KR9C updated the group on the clubs latest project. We are linking the Natchitoches 146.88 repeater to our 147.28 repeater here in Many in an effort to extend routine and emergency communications. Future plans are to link a repeater from Milam, TX to the 147.28 repeater. The new repeater site has been secured and is being built. This will provide a link for Zwolle portable radios to the 147.28 repeater. We have also re-secured the old repeater site at Bayou Towers South of Many for the 440 Machine when repairs are completed.

Fundraising: Suggestions for more ways to raise funds for our club was discussed. The group agreed that we need to put up more booths at events in the area to make ourselves more publically known. The fundraising ideas that are currently in the works include the upcoming Many Fair in late September, helping to assist with security at the Halloween Festival at Rebel State Park at the end of October, an informative booth at Milam Settlers Days in Milam, TX in November & building a float for the Holiday Parade in December in Many. Ideas for all these events are being discussed. Our main focus right now will be on preparing a booth, and locating a dunk tank if possible. We are also planning to do face painting, and sell treats at the booth as well.

A motion to close the meeting was made by Cecil-W5CQG, and seconded by Kenny-KR9C.
