The Amateur Radio Club of Sabine will be holding our December meeting on 10 Dec @ 7PM, at this meeting a local caterer will be serving dinner for all in attendance at no cost to current club members.   Funds for this will come from the Club's treasury.  If you'd like to bring a guest, a small charge of $5 per guest/per plate will need to be paid to the treasury.   RSVP to Dave - N0TRQ no later than Dec 2 if you will be attending as well as any guests.  It is important we have an accurate count for the caterer.

Menu

Chicken Almondine, Wild Rice Pilaf, Veggies, and Rolls, soft drinks will be provided with each dinner.

Again we need an accurate count for the caterer so RSVP's will be taken over the air, in person, via email etc....

We had our CLUB meeting last night. I believe our 'count' was 12 in attendance. We discussed MAIN prizes as well as DOOR prizes for our hamfest. We are also planning to have a Christmas party (food) at our next meeting (December 10th). We just ask that you bring some sort of 'covered dish'.

Nominations for officers will also take place on that evening. Come on down and 'voice' your concerns as to whomever you might have elected. We also discussed having another FOX hunt. George (K5GRM) will give us a date for that. We also added a new member to our roster. That gentleman is David Davis (KF5DQD). David, as you may or may not know, is the Director of Homeland Security for Sabine Parish.

We have lots of things coming up as far as 'club' activities. Keep on reading on our WEB page at www.k5mny.com so you can keep up with these, such as our weekly Tuesday night nets at 8:00pm, followed by our 444.00 net (on 444.200) which follows the first net. The only thing I ask is when you check in, please state if you are a member of ARES or not. I have reports I do at the end of each month that I have to send in to ARRL and I need this information.

Now I'm going to turn it over to N0TRQ. He might have something to say.  73 from W5CQG
