The Amateur Radio Club of Sabine was founded in 2007 to serve the needs of the local amateur community as well as provide communication support to the community if the need arises.  We work closely with the local public safety organization as well as the emergency preparedness teams.  We received Skywarn training from the National Weather Service and actively assist in reporting threatening weather. Our club meets regularly on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 8:00PM at the EOC Building in Many (two doors down from the Fire Station) located on San Antonio Ave.  All hams and non-hames are invited to attend and meet everyone.

The Club maintains a two meter repeater located near downtown Many.  The frequency is 147.28 with a tone of 173.8.  Additionaly we have a 70cm/440 machine operating on 444.200 also with a 173.8 PL.  Be sure to key up and say hello, there is always someone monitoring.

We have a net on the 2m repeater each Tuesday at 8:00 PM.  It’s just a get together for announcements and messages.  Feel free to check in and introduce yourself. We also host an annual swap fest in the spring.  Check our calendar and Swap Fest Flier for current details.
