The Amateur Radio Club of Sabine met for its monthly meeting on Thursday, November 12.
Meeting was called to order at 7:02 pm by President Dave Cochran.

OLD BUSINESS
- Ryan was the winner of the Fox Hunt, we will do another in the near future.
- Ham Fest - Still looking for door prizes and main prizes. Three main prizes: Yaesu FT-817, FT-8900 Quad-band, FT-250 HT.
- Door Prizes: Can be anything. Lamps, Microwaves, etc. We will have drop box at the EOC.
- Discussed selling separate tickets for a laptop, but tabled the idea for further research.
NEW BUSINESS
- Kenny Carter brought up a Christmas get together at our December 10th meeting. Kenny will check on the caterer and Dave will get RSVP for the number of participants.
- Motion to get a caterer for no more than $10 plate by Joe Seconded by Ryan – All Accepted
- Cecil brought up the ARRL tests for ARES. There are 4 tests(100 200, 700, 800) on the computer. Dave will post the address on the web.
- Dave asked for a volunteer to do the weekly net meeting. Jimmy Dees will be primary, and Dave backup.
OPEN NOMINATIONS:
- Cecil made a motion that officers stay as is with last minute nominations available before we vote in December meeting. Seconded by Don – All accepted
- Kevin said we are invited to the 3957 picnic at Ruthie’s Place the last Saturday in April.
- Dave asked for any interest in informal/formal licenses classes. If there is interest we will have classes and tests, but nothing before the first of the year.
- Ryan asked about setting a date for another Fox Hunt. Nothing on the last Saturday of the month. Maybe the Second or Third week of January, and we need to pick a place to eat.
